Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon lavender leaves
- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup blackberries, cut in half
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 ounces apple brandy
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- 4 ounces blackberry lavender shrub
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 1/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- For the Shrub, in a sealed container, combine blackberries, sugar, and lavender leaves. Mash until the berries and sugar form a thick paste. Add water and apple cider vinegar, then stir until the sugar is dissolved. Seal the container and refrigerate for 2 days. After 2 days, strain the mixture, discarding the berries and retaining the liquid. Store the liquid in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
- For the Cocktail, in a shaker, combine apple brandy, dry vermouth, blackberry lavender shrub, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture into a cocktail coupe. Cheers!
