Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream
  • 2 tbsp coconut condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp plant milk (such as almond milk)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 oz white rum
  • 1/2 oz coconut rum
  • 1/4 oz brandy or bourbon

Instructions

  1. Combine the coconut milk, coconut cream, coconut condensed milk, plant milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a blender.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the flavors as needed, adding more spices or sweetener if desired.
  4. Add the white rum, coconut rum, and brandy to the blender.
  5. Blend briefly to incorporate the liquors into the mixture.
  6. Pour the coquito into a sealed bottle or jug, adding a cinnamon stick if desired.
  7. Chill the coquito in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 4 to 6 hours.
  8. Before serving, shake or stir the coquito to ensure all the ingredients are well mixed.
  9. Pour into glasses, garnish with a cinnamon stick and coconut flakes, and enjoy!
