Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (split and seeds scraped out)
- 3 earl grey tea bags (or 3 tsp loose tea)
- 1 oz whiskey
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz earl grey vanilla simple syrup
- 1/2 oz egg white
- 1 twist lemon peel
- 1 handful ice cubes
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and scraped vanilla seeds. Bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the earl grey tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
- Allow the syrup to cool and store it in the fridge.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine whiskey, lemon juice, earl grey vanilla syrup, and egg white.
- Shake the mixture for 20 seconds, then add ice and shake for an additional 10 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into a tumbler, add ice, and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
