A velvety Whiskey Sour featuring Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and a small egg white, elegantly topped with a spray of Angostura bitters.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup (1:1, sugar:water)
  • 1 small egg white
  • 1 spray Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. Combine the small egg white and lemon juice in a mixing tin and shake without ice (dry shake).
  2. Add the bourbon and simple syrup to the tin and add 5 Kold Draft cubes.
  3. Shake the mixture 20 times.
  4. Double strain the cocktail over ice into a rocks glass.
  5. Allow the egg white to separate and spray Angostura bitters on top of the foam.
  6. Express a lemon peel over the glass and garnish with the peel and a brandied cherry.
