A refreshing and tangy bloody mary made with ripe heirloom tomatoes, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, and a kick of Tabasco, perfect for brunch or any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 10 oz ripe heirloom tomatoes
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (Annie's brand is vegan)
  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1-2 dashes Tabasco sauce
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • Celery stick
  • Lime wedge

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe heirloom tomatoes, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, kosher salt, black pepper, and celery salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a pitcher and stir in Tabasco to taste. This base can be prepared up to 5 days ahead for optimal flavor.
  3. When ready to serve, fill a glass with ice and add one shot of vodka.
  4. Top the vodka with the prepared bloody mary mixture.
  5. Garnish with a celery stick and a lime wedge.
