Frozen Citrus Tequila Slush
A delightful frozen cocktail bursting with fresh citrus juices, Blanco tequila, and a tantalizing Tajin-spiced rim.
Ingredients
- 4 oz grapefruit juice
- 2 oz freshly squeezed orange juice (I used Cara Cara)
- 2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
- 4 oz Blanco tequila
- 1 cup ice
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt, sugar, and Tajin, for glass rim
- Grapefruit slice, for garnish
- Mint sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large measuring glass or pitcher, combine grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and Blanco tequila.
- Pour the mixture into ice cube molds and freeze until solid, for at least 4-6 hours.
- Transfer the frozen mixture into a high-power blender with 1 cup of ice. Blend until smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
- On a small plate, mix salt, sugar, and Tajin. Run the edge of the glass with a grapefruit slice and dip the glass edge into the mixture.
- Pour the slushee mixture into a glass. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a mint sprig.
