Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 0.50 oz fresh orange juice (or lime juice)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 oz hibiscus tea
  • Topo Chico or soda water to top
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 1/2 cups of water and steep 1/4 cup of dried hibiscus flowers in the hot water for five minutes.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of ice to the steeped hibiscus tea and allow it to melt before straining into a glass jar. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or until cold.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, orange juice, and honey, then stir until the honey is dissolved.
  4. Add hibiscus tea and ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  5. Strain the mixture into an old-fashioned cocktail glass filled with ice.
  6. Serve with a slice of orange.
