Ingredients

  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp whole milk
  • 1/4 cup half and half
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Spiced Rum
  • 2 tbsp Brandy
  • 2 tbsp Bourbon
  • a pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolk and sugar until thick and pale.
  2. Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, half and half, vanilla extract, spiced rum, brandy, and bourbon in a separate container.
  3. Slowly pour the liquid into the egg mixture while whisking on low speed, then increase to medium-low until just combined.
  4. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to ensure everything is well mixed.
  5. Stir in a pinch of nutmeg.
  6. Pour the eggnog into a glass and refrigerate for at least two weeks before serving.
  7. Before serving, shake well and sprinkle with a little nutmeg if desired.
