Mandarin Sparkle Fizz
A delightful frozen cocktail combining orange flavors and sparkling wine for a refreshing summer treat.
Ingredients
- 1 can (12 oz) Canada Dry Mandarin Orange Seltzer water
- 3 cups orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 bottle of champagne or sparkling wine
Instructions
- Combine ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water, then heat in the microwave until boiling (about 1 ½ minutes). Stir and set aside to cool.
- Squeeze half a lemon for about a tablespoon of lemon juice.
- In an 8 x 8 pan, mix together lemon juice, 3 cups of orange juice, the cooled simple syrup, and 1 can of Canada Dry Mandarin Orange Seltzer Water.
- Place the mixture in the freezer.
- Stir or break up the granita with a fork every 30 minutes for the first hour.
- After 2 hours, break up the granita with a fork again.
- At 3 hours, the granita is ready to serve.
- Add about ½ cup of granita to a glass, then pour champagne or sparkling wine over it and serve.
