Ingredients

  • 4 basil leaves (1 for garnishing)
  • 5 slices of peaches (2 for garnishing)
  • 1.50 oz 100% straight rye whiskey (Rittenhouse Rye used here)
  • 3/4 oz peach syrup
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/3 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. In a shaker, muddle the peaches and basil.
  2. Add the rye, peach syrup, orange juice, lemon juice, and Angostura bitters to the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker halfway with ice and shake well.
  4. Empty all contents from the shaker into a large rocks glass.
  5. Garnish with a peach slice and a basil leaf.
