Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 oz white chocolate (Substitute with vegan white chocolate)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (I used an oil based extract)
  • 1 1/2 oz white rum
  • 3/4 oz white chocolate liqueur (or 1/2 oz vanilla vodka, also vegan friendly)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, salt, and cornstarch. Whisk to dissolve the cornstarch.
  2. Add the white chocolate, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Heat over medium-high heat, whisking regularly to melt the white chocolate.
  3. Bring the white hot chocolate to a bare simmer, avoiding boiling.
  4. Stir in the rum and white chocolate liqueur.
  5. Pour the mixture into a mug and top with marshmallows, whipped cream, and crushed candy cane. Enjoy!
