Pineapple Herbaceous Smash
A refreshing and aromatic cocktail featuring fresh pineapple juice, rosemary simple syrup, whiskey, and a hint of mint.
Ingredients
- 2 to 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup
- 2 oz whiskey
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 3/4 oz pineapple juice
- 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves
- Rosemary sprig for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the rosemary, sugar, and water for the simple syrup. Boil over medium-high heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes. Then, remove the rosemary sprigs and refrigerate the simple syrup in an airtight container.
- To make the cocktail, add the rosemary simple syrup and mint leaves to a shaker and muddle.
- Fill the shaker with ice, then pour in the whiskey, lemon juice, and pineapple juice. Shake for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and serve.
