Ingredients

  • 1 oz. rye whiskey
  • 1/2 oz. aged rum
  • 1/2 oz. Braulio
  • 1 tsp. demerara syrup
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1/2 tsp. absinthe
  • Lemon twist, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill a Gibraltar or rocks glass and rinse it with absinthe, then discard the excess.
  2. In a mixing glass with ice, combine rye whiskey, aged rum, Braulio, demerara syrup, Peychaud's bitters, and Angostura bitters. Stir for 20-30 seconds until chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
