  • 1 oz silver or reposado tequila
  • 1 oz mezcal
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3/4 oz orange liqueur (high-quality triple sec or orange curaçao)
  • Lime wheel, for garnish
  • Bitterman's Halen Môn Gold Smoked Sea Salt, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill a double-old-fashioned glass by running a cut lime over the rim and rolling the rim in Bitterman's Halen Môn Gold Smoked Sea Salt. Salt only the exterior of the glass, add ice, and set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, mezcal, lime juice, and orange liqueur. Shake vigorously until well combined.
  3. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
  4. For a large batch, maintain the existing ratio and stir in a beverage jar filled with large ice cubes. Set up a garnish station for guests to prepare their own glasses.
