Ingredients

  • 3-4 strawberries, sliced or diced
  • 1.50 oz simple syrup (3 tbsp)
  • 2.25 oz whiskey (3 tbsp)
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • ice

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the strawberries and simple syrup. Use a muddler to mash the strawberries until they are broken down and have infused their flavor into the simple syrup.
  2. Add the whiskey and lemon juice to the shaker and cover with the lid. Shake vigorously for about a minute to combine the ingredients.
  3. Remove the lid and place a strainer on top of the shaker. Pour the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Gently rub the mint leaves between your fingers to release the aroma, then add them to the drink.
