Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz Triple Sec
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 3 tbsp tamarind concentrate
  • Kosher salt and ancho chile powder for rimming
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Make simple syrup by heating sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves; let it cool.
  2. In a shaker, combine tequila, Triple Sec, lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, and tamarind concentrate.
  3. Add the simple syrup to the shaker and shake well.
  4. Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip it into a mixture of salt and ancho chile powder.
  5. Fill the glass with ice and strain the margarita into the glass.
