Ingredients

  • 2 oz pineapple, cut into pieces
  • 1-2 basil leaves
  • 3/8 cup 100% pineapple juice
  • 1/8-1/4 cup rum
  • 1/2 cup white wine (- riesling for a sweeter sangria)
  • 1/2 cup ginger beer (- may substitute with sparkling water)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Crushed ice
  • Pineapple and fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the pineapple pieces and basil leaves in the bottom of a large pitcher.
  2. Pour in the pineapple juice, rum, white wine, ginger beer, and fresh lemon juice.
  3. Stir the mixture well.
