Ingredients

  • 8 oz apple cider
  • 4 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/2 orange, separated into sections
  • 1/2 vanilla bean
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 oz Don Q Oak Barrel Spiced Rum
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Caramel ice cream sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a crock pot, combine apple cider, pineapple juice, cinnamon stick, orange sections, and vanilla extract.
  2. Split the vanilla bean, scrape out the vanilla, and add it to the crock pot. Place the cut beans in as well. Stir to mix everything.
  3. Heat on high for approximately two hours or until the wassail is warm.
  4. Once hot, pour into a mug, leaving room for a shot of rum.
  5. Top with whipped cream and drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
